Our BBC
Project Overview:
The BBC launched a new initiative, “Our BBC”, exploring how to empower the public with a sense of ownership and influence over the BBC’s offerings. The project lead got in touch with Feedback to produce a video to be shown to key-decision makers to get more funding for the initiative.
Solution:
We produced two videos filmed during a series of workshops held in London and Manchester. We interviewed participants to gather their opinion about the BBC’s current programmes and how they felt their community was represented. They raised both issues and ideas about how things could be improved.
Results:
The result was two powerful videos that provided deep insight, through personal stories, into how ethnic minority viewers perceive the BBC.
These films were presented to key decision-makers and successfully secured funding for further in-depth research into ethnic minority audience engagement.
Feedback Films’ insightful approach facilitated a smooth production process. They understood the project’s complexities, identified suitable contributors, and captured excellent workshop footage without disruption. Their work was instrumental in securing subsequent funding for the ‘Our BBC’ project.
