Girl Power

Project Overview

Google approached us to create a D&I video showcasing the achievements of Girl Power, an initiative aiming to drive gender equality in tech. Designed to inspire global Staffing & People Operations teams, it encouraged more inclusive hiring across gender, ethnicity, and disability.

Solution

We created a video that combined documentary-style interviews with fast-paced animation to provide context and actionable insights. Featuring key female voices from Google, the film highlighted how the Girl Power initiative is driving change and outlined its next steps. It also included Dan Cobley, the CEO at the time, reinforcing leadership’s commitment to diversity.

Our approach blended compelling storytelling with data-driven messaging, ensuring the video resonated with both strategic partners and internal teams.

Results

Presented to strategic partners and at Google’s Q1 Townhall, the video reinforced Google’s commitment to senior female recruitment in tech. As a result, female candidate representation on selection lists increased from 10% to 20%—a first in the tech industry.

Creating this video was a team first, and Feedback Films made the process enjoyable. The video was very well-received.
